Bay Islands Creole

Bay Islands Creole is a linguistic entity of Honduras. It mainly is spoken on the Islas de la Bahia (Guanaja, Roatán, Utila). At ISO 639-2 it is counted among the linguistic entities bearing the code cpe. According to some sources Bay Islands Creole belongs to the English language. Bay Islands Creole has 10,000 to 20,000 native speakers. Mainlander know this languages as "Caracol" which literally means Conch.
